Amazed!!!
During my pregnancy, I was watching my fetal development very closely. It was exciting to know that my lo's heart has started beating or he can hear me now. It was then, I really concentrated on our body. In school, I was too busy cursing the person who discovered these, authored our textbooks and most importantly named the body parts with such difficult names. I was very bad with spellings, so I spent all my time byhearting the spellings.
When I watch my little one grow, I am amazed by the engineering of human body. Those two little hands grow proportionately. Its rare that one grows bigger than other. It also amazes me how he automatically starts trying to reach his next milestone. One day he is sitting, suddenly out of no where he wants to pull up to standing position.
Whether its evolution or created by God, its unbelievable and amazing.

How did they clean up the mess?
Was watching Die Hard 4.0 yesterday. The movie ends with everyone getting to the hospital but was wondering was happened to the country. Probably they should make a movie on that. So much chaos, network was down, roads were blasted, stock market was going crazy and the country had come to a standstill. When the big ring road shattered into pieces, I was just thinking if it was real then it would have taken millions and couple of years to complete. It was shattered in seconds.
Life is also the same I guess. We work so hard to do the things the right way, one wrong move shatters everything we have worked for. It takes years to build, seconds to damage. Life is irreversible and it would be cool if we had a revoke option. Hmmm! What will I do if my life had a revoke button? Don't know where to start, countless wrong moves but I am happy where I am now.

Movies & Dreams
The movie that has haunted my dreams many times is "28 days later". A awesomely scripted and directed movie. After watching the movie, I had a dream about the rage virus affecting the populace and my family is taking shelter in my house by locking up the doors and barricading the door with wooden block in "Signs" movie style. The alien movies like "War of the Worlds", "Independence Day" have also influenced my dream. Not to mention how I fight the aliens and become a hero. The fairy tale movies like "Cindrella", "Alice in the wonderland" also work upon my dream.
Many times my dreams are interrupted by my little one crying. Its a pleasant feeling to realize what my subconscious mind had made me dream and smile at it.

On my 26th birthday
Its my 26th birthday. Hmmm.. Only on my 18th birthday I wanted to shout out loud saying I am 18 and I am a major now. Rest all birthdays reminds me I am getting old. Anyway birthday is very special day. As a child, I loved distributing sweets. My mom used to bake cake and call the neighbours to cut it in the evening. In my teenage, I didn't want to cut cake just to show that I am a grown up and cutting cake is for kids. The cake cutting and rubbing the cream all over the face became a college thing. Then when I started working, cutting cake was more formal. You send a mail sweets at my desk and then followed but cutting cake in the evening with some chips etc.
The best parts of birthday are the new dress, gifts and the treat. I don't remember most of the dresses I bought for my birthday or the gifts I received but there are sweet little memories that linker like making chocolate balls with the left over icing of the cake my mom made, my friend Sugi wishing me happy birthday the whole day, the lunch at the Chinese restaurant etc. Every birthday is as special as the one before, its the people who we are with make it more special. This year its with my lil one who has already licked all over my face to show his love.

Small town girl
Living in a big city, I miss the fresh air, the silent morning, chats during breakfast, the friendly neighbors and calm nights. I wish and pray that in my old age, I return to a small town where there isn't much to shop but yet I am happy, where there is no junk food chains but a hot bonda makes the evening tea spicy, where there is no cinema but still I am entertained, where my son can ride his cycle freely. I am a small town person and my heart aches for it.

Down the memory lane
Watching the road during travel or watching the fan on a sleepless night, always takes me down the memory lane. Yesterday night was one such night. Down the memory lane, I happened to think about the people I have come across, those who have made my life beautiful. In this busy life, I am not in touch with many people. But thanks to Facebook and other social networking sites, we are being informed of the good and bad happening to them. Its really great to know that people have reached places, have graduated from top universities, got married or blessed with a cute baby. Through this post I just wanna say I am happy for all the achievements and happiness in your life. Thanks for being part of my life.

Being a Parent
Its ages since I blogged. Finally I have found sometime from being mom and hence thought of posting a blog. My little one is 6 1/2 months and its been a mad rush. It was like yesterday I first held him, already 200+ days has flown away.
Being a parent, I have realized how well my parents have cared for me. Bringing up a child is not cake walk. Thanks to my parents who have brought me up with all the love and comfort. The toughest part of being a parent is the helplessness. When my little one is crying with all the rocking and soothing there is a million questions that raises in my mind. Is something bothering him? Did some insect bite him? What did I do wrong? Did I eat something that is causing him gas? Am I doing it right? And finally ones he is calm, I boost my self confidence by reassuring that his only way of communication is to cry.
Amongst all the crying, sleeplessness, tiredness and helplessness, the babbling, laughing and hugging makes every day pleasant and memorable.

Meeting and Greeting People
What should I conclude from these interaction? Certainly, its mixed. But it has kindled in me a great patriotism toward my country. I want to travel to the corners of India and feel proud about the diversity we like in. I want to read Indian history which I hated in school. I just want to see India grow.

Off the rain, Under a roof
As the first drop of rain fell on my head, I geared up my bike, hoping to reach home before the rain starts pours. It was not just me, everyone on the road have accelerated and I knew it was an "On your mark, Get-Set-Go" moment. The drizzle slowly intensified while I waited for a long signal. The red light seemed permanent. Finally, when the green appeared, I was almost drenched.
The visibility was low and I felt driving further would be risky. Lucky, I was in the shopping district. So, I parked my vehicle and ran to the nearby shop. There was very little room for more people. I squeezed in and found a little spot. I removed my coat and helmet and breathed the mesmerizing smell of mud. I stood there watching people and the shops around me. I realized I have never seen many shop though I had traveled the same route for years.

Mad with the rain, I headed to the cafe. Cafe was not crowded. I found a seat with the good view to watch TV and ordered a cappuccino and a smoked chicken sandwich. While I called home to inform that I was stuck, the order had came. Then, it was me, the cappuccino and the smoked chicken sandwich spiced up with a gossip show on TV.
Ideally, drinking a hot coffee with some deli in a nice couch on a rainy day would just be perfect. But doing it alone was annoying. After about 15 - 20 mins, I couldn't take any more. I decided to drive in any case. Fortunately, as i fled down, I noticed the rain had stopped. No time to spare, I wore my coat, pressed on the vehicle and was finally heading back home.
Stuck in the heavy jam after the rain, I prayed "Thank you God for the rain! I just wish it doesn't rain when I leave office."
